NUCAPS is a technology company founded in 2017 to commercialize proprietary protein-based microencapsulation technology developed by CNTA (National Center for Food Technology and Safety), Universidad de Navarra, and ARDENA.
We solve one of the key challenges in nutrition and health: enabling the effective oral delivery of bioactive ingredients and probiotics. Many of these compounds have proven health benefits but suffer from low stability, poor bioavailability, degradation, or unpleasant taste, limiting their real impact on health.
Our patented protein coating technology protects active ingredients and allows controlled release and full absorption, increasing bioavailability by up to 30×, reducing costs by up to 70%, and extending shelf life from days to months. Using only food proteins, NUCAPS enables a clean-label, sustainable, and industrially scalable solution.
