This ambitious project, developed by a consortium formed by <strong>Nucaps (leader), Iberfruta, Isanatur, Ingredalia, Ojer Pharma, Espiga I+D, UNAV, CNTA, and NAGRIFOOD<\/strong>, proposes innovative solutions based on nanoencapsulated bioactive compounds to address Metabolic Syndrome and improve wound healing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NUTRACAPS combines <strong>functional and nutraceutical ingredients<\/strong> of natural origin, <strong>such as omega-6 fatty acids and quercetin<\/strong>, recognized for their anti-inflammatory properties, their ability to reduce insulin resistance, and their skin-repairing effects. Through <strong>nanoencapsulation<\/strong>, the efficacy and bioavailability of these compounds are optimized, enabling their application in oral products (nutraceuticals) and topical treatments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project stands out for its commitment to the <strong>circular economy<\/strong>, reusing agro-food by-products from Navarra and exploring new natural sources, such as blackcurrant, which uniquely combines omega-6 fatty acids and quercetin. This sustainable approach reinforces the efficient use of resources and positions Navarra as a hub for innovation in health and food technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NUTRACAPS includes advanced in vitro and in vivo studies, as well as analyses of stability, safety, and economic feasibility to ensure the applicability of these solutions in food and nutra\/dermaceutical matrices.
